Color Without Cages is a 3-hour mini-retreat inside the inspiring walls of the Denver Art Museum. Part quiet art walk, part imaginative play session, this experience invites you to reconnect with your creative core—no rules, no pressure, no perfectionism.

We’ll begin with a slow exploration of the galleries, letting color, texture, and story spark your inner artist. We’ll pause for a bit of journaling and introspection, then we’ll settle into one of the studio spaces to make playful art. You might take your art home with you or you might leave it behind for someone else to find. It’s about creating for the simple joy of doing it. No art background needed—just an open mind.

Phones stay tucked away so you can be fully present. You'll head home with renewed energy, a spark of creativity and a few inspired surprises from your own imagination.

Location: Denver Art Museum, 100 W 14th Ave Pkwy, Denver, CO
Arrival: Please arrive 5–10 minutes early so we can enter together.
Look for: Your host in a bright Find Your Inner Parakeet badge outside the main entrance.
Parking: Metered street parking and nearby garages available.
Weather: Mostly indoors; light outdoor moments possible—dress accordingly.
